Adam is a Principal of Cooper and Company, a private investment company that acquires and actively develops assets on a long-term ownership basis. Adam leads the evaluation, structuring and execution of the firm’s private equity investments.
Adam formerly practiced as an attorney in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis, acting for companies and funds in leveraged buyout transactions. He was also an analyst for Cooper & LeVasseur, a value oriented fund focused on investing in public companies in transition.
Prior to moving to the United States in 1999, he practised law at New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh, acting for clients in domestic and international corporate transactions.
Adam holds PhD, LLB and BA degrees from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
